Aussie Sheep Fucking Contest

Mr Wigg recalls that "Somehow, something entered my mind a couple of months ago and this is the idea." As a result, the Tatyoon Football Club has 52 ewes numbered and named, and Cecil due to arrive in a limo (honest). When Cecil is unleashed into the paddock, the first recipient of his favours earns $1,000 for her owner, second earns $500, and third earns $300.

And Cecil is certainly ready to go. "He’s been on rations for six months. We’ve had him in a special paddock where he can just look at the girls grazing…he’s a fine speciman of a thing, he’s ready to go," says the Tatyoon spokesman, "…he’s lifted his lip a couple of times when he’s seen the ewes, and we’re very confident he’s going to perform today."

Our source goes into personal detail about Cecil: "He’s a cross bred ram and he has coconuts that swing against his ankles," says Peter.

He reckons that the clamour for Cecil’s affections have just grown and grown. "We started off with twenty, we’ve increased it to thirty, and then we’ve got to fifty-two now, and we’re going to auction another one before the event…it’s been just amazing, it really has. We could’ve sold another fifty I reckon."

Did we mention that the ewes have all been named - there’s "Paris Hilton", "Elle MacPherson", "Martina Navratilova", "The Cougar Girl" and forty-odd others. WA is represented by "Rose Hancock" and "Rebecca Twiggly". Peter Wigg says the first ewe to be sold was "Stiffler’s Mum", proving that at least someone over sixteen saw American Pie.

Peter senses a big day in Tatyoon. "Next year we might have to fill the oval," he reckons. He’s speaking to us just before Cecil The Ram’s limousine is due to arrive, and a big crowd is already gathering.

"He might get get mobbed," says Peter, of Australia’s luckiest ram. If the ewes don’t get our hero, the crowd will. An artist attending the gathering made a quick sketch (see above) of some farmers ejoying the company of a few of the prettier sheep.
